AFCON 2023 to kick off 13 January 2024

The Confederation of African Football has announced that the biggest Football showcase on the Continent will kick-off on 13th January 2024 in Cote d’Ivoire.

The opening match is scheduled to take place on Saturday, 13 January 2024 at the Alassane Ouattara Stadium in Ebimpe, Abidjan.

This will be the 34th edition of the tournament where Africa’s best 24 nations will battle it out for glory.

Algeria, Morocco, South Africa, Tunisia, Burkina Faso and Senegal have secured qualification to AFCON 2023 Cote d’Ivoire this past weekend.

Meanwhile, CAF said the Final Draw of the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations 2023 Cote d’Ivoire will be held in September 2023. Date and venue will be confirmed in due course.

The finale is set for 11 February 2024, according to CAF.
