Champions Medeama SC reliable defender Vincent Atinga has been named winner of the betPawa Premier League Best Player of the season award at the 2023 GFA Awards ceremony.

The former Accra Hearts of Oak defender guided the Mauves and Yellow to a remarkable first Ghana Premier League glory.

He beat stiff competition from teammate Jonathan Sowah, Abednego Tetteh of Bibiani Gold Stars and former Bechem striker Hafiz Konkoni.

Vincent Atinga scored a total of 11 goals during the season, with an impressive 9 of those coming from penalty kicks.
