Medeama

Medeama Sporting Club, the winners of the Ghana Premier League, has announced that Nebojsa Kapor will take over as their head coach.

The Tarkwa-based team signed a one-year contract with Kapor, with the option of a two-year renewal.

He was previously in charge of Bechem United.

Evans Adotey has since returned to the position of technical director at the club.

A few games into the team’s title-winning campaign in the 2022–2023 season, Adotey assumed the position of head coach.

Additionally, he led them to a group stage spot in the CAF Champions League.

In a statement released on Wednesday, the Yellow and Mauves said, “Medeama is happy to announce Nebojsa Kapor’s appointment as our new Head Coach.

“Kapor, 37, has signed a one-year deal with a two-year option for renewal.

“The Bosnia and Herzegovina young tactician takes over from evergreen Evans Augustine Adotey, who is returning to his role as a technical director.

“The Bosnian is not new on the Ghanaian domestic front having worked with Tema Youth and Bechem United.

“The club believes his ethos, tactical approach and commitment to development made him the ideal candidate for the job.”

The league match on Saturday, December 30 against Karela United will be the Gaffer’s first assignment.
