Hearts of Oak suffered their third loss in three Ghana Premier League games at the hands of Medeama Sporting Club.

On matchday 25 of the league, the Tarkwa-based team won 2-0 in the afternoon game held at Akoon Park on Wednesday.

Godfred Abban added the cherry on top eight minutes into regulation time, after center-back Amoah scored the game’s first goal with a forceful free kick in the 65th minute.

To record their first victory in three games, the Mauve and Yellow have cast aside their recent losses to Samartex and the Accra Lions.

With 36 points from 25 games, the victory has moved the victors up to fifth place in the league standings.

Now that Hearts of Oak has lost three straight games, the group is beginning to worry.

Their most recent loss came after they were defeated 2-1 away to league leaders Samartex and 1-0 at home to Bibiani Gold Stars.

The Rainbow Club is now in a challenging position to challenge for the Premier League title after dropping to 11th place in the standings.

Their next matchup is against Karela United.
