Kotoko

Christopher Ennin, the head coach of Berekum Chelsea, has expressed his disappointment in the match officials during his team’s 0-1 loss to Kumasi Asante Kotoko.

He made this statement in an interview shortly after the game.

His charges fell to the Porcupine Warriors in the 41st minute, courtesy a Steven Mukwala goal.

Chelsea have thus dropped to sixth place in the Ghana Premier League rankings and condemned to their fifth loss of the year.

Conversely, Kotoko has moved up to seventh position with 19 points, one point less than Chelsea’s total.

Speaking after the game, Ennin said, “It’s quite a good game but I don’t normally talk about officiating but the referee did not make the game the way its supposed to go. It’s bad. In fact I’ve never spoken about officiating but it’s very bad.”

Ennin further highlighted the lack of discipline in his team’s loss, saying, “I really don’t know what is really happening; tactically indiscipline was part of it.”

The Blues next match is against Accra Great Olympics on Sunday, December 10 at 15:00 GMT.
